A Dairy Plan for Queensland
It’s time for your feedback on draft proposals under consideration for inclusion in the plan.
For much of this year, an Advisory Group consisting of eastAUSmilk (leading the project), Department of Agriculture and Fisheries, Bega, Norco, Lactalis, DFMC, and SubTropical Dairy have been working on developing a plan for the dairy industry in Queensland.
They were asked to identify ways to grow the milk pool, to build the economic viability of dairy farming, to facilitate uptake of productivity and efficiency improvements, and to build industry and community confidence in the future of the industry.
Now, before finalising the plan, your input is needed on the priorities proposed.
Changes will be made to the plan based on your feedback.

There’s also an online portal here for you to provide feedback, in case you can’t get to one of the meetings: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/NZ8B23K.
If you can’t make it to a district meeting, let us know at ea@eastausmilk.org.au – we are planning to organise a Zoom hook-up for members who can’t make it.

The feedback we need is this:
1. Can these proposals on the next pages work in the areas they need to?
2. Will they make a difference to production and/or industry economic viability?
3. What’s missing from the list that is important?

Thanks very much for taking the time to provide feedback on the proposed priorities!
Once feedback has been received, the Advisory Group will consider how to change the draft proposals to reflect that feedback, work out some more details of how the various proposals can best be implemented, and produce a final plan.
