Farm Services

The Farmer Capabilities program funded by Business Queensland provided our members with one-on-one farmer meetings developing action plans relevant to their business, partnered farmers with ‘farm mentors’ and increase awareness of different support pathways, individuals and organisations available to participating businesses.

  • Case Study - Scenic Rim

Husband and wife team, Gary, and Karen Wenzel, own and operate a dairy business in the Scenic Rim.

This case study will focus on Gary’s experiences participating in the Farmer Capabilities project delivered by Queensland Dairyfarmers’ Organisation (QDO) and funded by Queensland’s Department of Employment, Small Business and Training (DESBT).

  • Case Study - Darling Downs

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Argyle Farming is a dairy business owned and operated by the Garratt family.

The Garratt family first engaged with Queensland Dairyfarmers’ Organisation’s (QDO) Farmer Capabilities Project through attending one of the introductory workshops delivered last year. The focus of the workshop was to provide dairy farmers with a better understanding of Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) laws and requirements.
